A Cobblemon community like no other!
The League was a powerful organization managing everything from trainer licenses to the gym challenge. If you work with pokemon, you work with the league.
The League has several members of note, here's some quick profiles for a few of them.
League Chairman - Nicolas Ocean: A young trainer that's always eager for a challenge, his journey started in Niceland where he is known as a curious sort. He was born elsewhere, but came to Aptrumi too young to really remember the exact region he hails from. Despite his vague memories of where ever that was, he knows there were many graceful water types.
This led him to seek out the Palafin that became the ace of his team. This marine powerhouse is a bit childish and loves to be carried by its trainer. He doesn't seem to mind, though.
He worked his way up as a respected trainer to become the region's league chairman. Through a history defining tournament, he became the first champion of the league.
Region Professor - Penny Rafflesia: The Professor grew up in Castelia City. They were a bit of a flighty sort, even if they can put on a façade of professionalism. Their trainer experience started in raising exotic flying types and sneaking into the nearby Relic Castle in search of a plume fossil. Even though they come from the big city, Penny is quite the cottagecore butch at heart.
Their first partner, Glamour, is quite the arrogant sort. She didn't even float and preferred to just wait to be carried around as a Flittle. When she evolved into the Espathra she is today, that stuck up attitude persisted! Her psychic power allows her to mimic the might her opponents display in battle to gain the upper hand.
Their other companion Pokémon tend to be avian in nature, but Penny has also favored bug and dragon types.
As a young adult they moved to Aptrumi where they made great strides in the management of Foreboden Town. As a side gig, they helped The League main offices in the town and actually won their top employee reward. This came with a rowlet of unusual origin.
The Professor worked their way up in their main field of archeology and their latest endeavor is seeking The Ancient Friendship Ballad.
Falcon the Ice King: A quiet sort who pursues aesthetics over strength. Collecting rare and endangered Pokemon, he hopes to create a place for them to thrive in the underground sector of his hometown. His menagerie hosts the greatest collection of legendary species in the region. He grew up fairly lonely in the scarely populated city of Coldheart. Braving the Ancient City hidden depths below the mountain, he pacified its dangers to prove himself to the league commitee. He grew quickly as one of the most fearsome trainers in the region being the only person to attain both the Gym leader and Elite Trainer titles.
His Darmanitan is one of versatility, finding her way into both of Falcon's league challenge teams. A close second in importance is the elusive Marshadow that has taken a liking to him. The pokemon is a mythical symbol of ColdHeart, as the city is where only known sightings of it have been recorded.
These are specialized trainers that help new trainers learn to basic strategies to win in battles.
Borgis The Busy Hermit: He was born and raised in the far away Almia Region. The volcanic island of the region, Boyleland, to be specific. He heard about the world beyond from tourists. When he finally decided to leave home for a proper pokemon journey, he began by taking part in the Island Challenge of Alola. He met his trusted partner pokemon, Skullvengance the Golisopod, while there.
He is known for his unusual accessory of a charizard horn headband that looks great with his usual formal attire. As much as he presents himself well, especially for a chubby fellow, he would much rather dress like the casual beachgoer he was in his youth.
After further journeys, he unexpectedly settled in Aptrumi. Despite being accustomed to hot tropical areas, he had an epiphany upon reaching the southwestern frozen tundras. Founding Fort Frozen Paradise, he's made a warm haven for anyone travelling through this frosty part of the region. Dedicated to building and expanding the town, it's prosperity sometimes came at the detriment to the newly appointed gym leader there.
He recently opened a safari zone for the region on a large island on the far end of the region.
Ellie Finnigan The Great Dragon Slayer: Hailing from The Lotus Palace in Aptrumi, this lady is as loving as she is lovely. Her generosity knows no bounds! Now while her title regards hunting, it is only a formality. After her mother passed, she inherited the title and the responsibilities that came with it. Despite the palace falling to dissaray, a new castle is under construction in Kindheart to act as Lotus Order headquarters in the meantime. Her trusted partner, Aurelia the vulpix, has been by Ellie's side for half her life so far. They tend to be found sat together in Ms. Finnigan's little personal project, Café Eeveelution, where many go to decompress after a long day.
John The Lorekeeper: Originally hailing from Peachville, John opened the first proper Pokémon Daycare of the region there. He's what one expects of a friendly old fellow who can still do a hard day's work. He's a jolly sort, but don't let his smile fool you. He's a wise trainer who knows his way around an arena.
After some disputes with neighbors, he made his way to Sorrowmyst with the help of the mayor there. He took respite in Deadwood Cove where he founded his gym with a native of the derelict ship, Captain the Dhelmise. As a gym leader, he works closely with the mayor of Sorrowmyst, Kimlies. Many would say they are both mayor by how well the duties are split.
Malaki The Dragon Child: He grew up in the mountains away from any town or cities in Aptrumi. His only family as far as he was concerned were the draconic pokemon around him. Fighting the tough environment he was abandoned in is what made the pokemon there see value in him as a member of their pack. He is considered family and friend to them. After much time as the only human in these frigid peaks, he discovered the developing town, Coldheart. The people there welcomed him, but he still feels more comfortable in the wilderness.
He always looks ragged, from his clothes to his scars. Due to his upbringing, he is wary of humans, especially ones who aren't as understanding as those of Coldheart. In truth, his parental figure being Kyurem frightened many into minding their own business. The otherworldly Naganadel that fights alongside him started as a bullied Poipole, but has grown to be more like a protective older sibling to Malaki.
Olle The Makeshift Cyborg: A mysterious trainer of City 95 who uses custom cybernetic enhancements to assist him in all aspects of being a trainer. Many will mistake him for a real life cyborg, but that's a bit absurd. He is an excitable sort who is trigger happy to start a battle with challengers. Spending so much time working with technology, he can be a bit awkward in other settings and discussions. His on hand devices and accessories are powered by his team of electric type pokemon, especially his trusted partner, an Electivire that has been by his side since it hatched as an Elekid. Since the pokemon has outgrown perching on his shoulder, he has a Pikachu acting as the external battery for him.
Pandora The True Competitor: One of the youngest to be approved as a gym leader, they are a natural born leader who has been considered mature from a young age. This drive might be behind their being a trainer to begin with at the ripe age of 13. This is not to overshadow their skills that got the league committee's attention. Due to their youth, it did take a bit to get all the paperwork on the matter settled.
In their travels, they've made plenty of friends who all can attest to their kindness. Some even say they care as much as they work. This can be seen in how worn out their clothes get in their training.
Fighting types always caught their eye having such great capability for physical strength. The Sneasler always by their side was a gift from a close friend. They cherish this tough feline and their bond of friendship is amazing! The two can get a bit reckless in battle, but that usually comes out in their favor.
Spawn Port: The place where all new trainers come to receive their trainer license and starting Pokémon. It is known best for the always well stocked general store and community gardens. From here you can journey just about anywhere in the region. The League Chairman owns a lakeside home here and The Professor gives lectures to newly licensed trainers by Spawn Circle. An important a heads up when leaving this town is to craft a few pokeballs. Considering the amazing chance of shiny pokemon in the region, you don't want to be caught unequipped.
Kindheart Town: Kindheart is quite a distance from most populated places in the region, but it is worth the trek. The town is fairly modernized and at its outskirts are the Arakni Ruins which Professor Rafflesia has spent quite awhile studying and restoring. It will also soon be home to a fairy type gym.
Peachville: Many will find their first town from Spawn Port to be this pretty spot in the savannah. It is home to the region's water type gym. Running that gym is Melon, The Debris Diver. A famous landmark there is its historic windmill. It has cheap houses for rent and a pokecenter that is much prettier on the inside.
Fort Frozen Paradise: This fortress is surrounded by snow and swinub. Below are shockingly large cave systems. Most important of all, though, the place is home to the Warpedstone Fortress where the Bug Type Gym of the region takes challenges. An ironic choice of setting, isn't it?
City 95: A high tech city with buildings tall enough to touch the sky. In the city, you will find the the redstone powered electric gym. It is run by Olle, the makeshift cyborg. You will also find a luxurious shop for all your TM needs be it casual or competitive.
Sorrowmyst: A peaceful town where the citizens wish to spend their time in peace and tranquility. It is a new town with an old mentality and a lot of up and coming places to visit.
Portach Town: A place considered the absolute closest to Spawn Port. It is a hub for farming and commerce. It currently is well populated, but always looking to grow.
Safari Zone: An island on the far end of everything that includes the most natural biome variety than anywhere else in the region.
